"The Song Is You"-written by Jerome Kearn and Oscar Hammerstein ll.

Frank Sinatra loved this song and recorded it many times as a ballad and a swing number.

First recording-January 19,1942 with Tommy Dorsey,arranged by Axel Stordahl.Also issued as a V disc.
On radio-September 3,1942 as a farewell to the Tommy Dorsey Band.
July 9,1943-Hunter College in New York City for the film "Music At War:The March Of Time".Sinatra's scene was cut because of contract reasons.
Army V Disc-Feb.13,1946 from a dress rehearsal for The Frank Sinatra Old Gold Show.

Studio Recording-Oct.26,1947-Columbia (last time as a ballad).
September 30,1958-Capitol-arranged by Billy May
December 9,1958-Capitol-arranged by Billy May (Come Dance With Me)

One of the few songs he recorded for every record label he worked for.
