Studio Vs. Concert

Postby Ozgun » Sat Sep 15, 2012 2:37 am

I think, for every single popular Sinatra song, there is a better, or much better live version. In fact, I only listen to an album version of a song if it was not sung in a concert.

Would you agree with me?

I am planning to make a very long blog post about this, meanwhile wanted to hear your opinions.

I think your right in a lot of cases. But,haveing said that, there are a lot of great studio recordings. The one that comes to mind immediately is "I've Got You Under My Skin",
and that's probably because of Milt Bernhart's Trombone solo.I look foward to seeing your comparisons.

When creating this post, I was thinking of the amazing I've Got You Under My Skin studio version, glad to see this in your post.
